The
Victorian Equestrian Centre (VEC)
is located in picturesque Upper Beaconsfield some 45
minutes from Melbourne. The centre has magnificent
facilities for riders with a huge indoor arena that has
spectator seating for 300 people, 2 outdoor menages,
stables and covered stalls.
Children
aged from 6 to 18 are encouraged to participate in
riding clubs that run throughout the school year, these
clubs cater for all ability levels from beginners
through to more experienced riders. Private and group
riding lessons cater for all ages of rider, you may even choose
to go out with our instructors on a trail ride. One day
school holiday programs and five day residential holiday
camps are held each holiday break, riders learn correct
technique in a safe environment, learn to care for and
manage their horses and still have plenty of time for
socializing. Each camp and club term ends with a
gymkhana where riders compete for ribbons, trophies and
medals in dressage, show jumping and games. The most
cherished awards being for the Most Improved, Best
Horsemanship and Encouragement.
The centre offers a range of
agistment options from full livery to semi private. Your
horse will be looked after by our very capable and
friendly full time and part time staff, they are always
eager to help and provide great advice to help you enjoy
your riding and equine friend. All horses are checked
twice daily, fed and have their rugs changed if needed.
The riding facilities are the icing on the cake.
Each year the VEC plays host to the
Victorian Interschool Equestrian Challenge,
Show Jumping
Challenge, Dressage Challenge and the
Primary Interschool
Challenge. These events see hundreds of young riders
coming together to share their love of horses and
equestrian activities. The facilities are available for
